Mary E. Dozier, Ph.D.
Principal Investigator
Mary is a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Mississippi State University. She completed her graduate work at the San Diego State University/University of California, San Diego Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology. Her research focuses on Motivational Interviewing as a treatment for hoarding disorder in rural older adults. She has over 40 peer-reviewed publications and her work has been funded by the American Psychological Foundation and the National Institute of Mental Health.
Caitlyn Nix
Graduate Research Assistant
Caitlyn graduated from St. Edward's University with a degree in Psychology in 2017. She is currently a third-year doctoral student working in Dr. Dozier's lab. Her research focus is on community-based interventions for older adults.
Branden Schaff
Graduate Research Assistant
Branden graduated from Truman State University with a BA in Psychology and English in 2021. He then obtained his MA in Clinical Psychology at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs in 2023. Branden will continue his studies as a first-year doctoral student in Dr. Dozier's lab, pursuing his interest in psychotherapy interventions and geropsychology. Outside of school, he enjoys running and talking a lot about running.
